Charity and Pro Bono Work Experience
An international charity project can significantly enhance your university application by demonstrating social responsibility, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
It shows initiative, cultural awareness, and a global perspective, making you stand out.
If relevant to your field of study, it highlights practical engagement and aligns with your academic interests.
Focus on personal growth, impact, and what you learned to present the experience effectively.
We work with local partners in the Gambia, Senegal, Ghana and Cape Verde. Much like academic and commercial work experience placements, students are allocated a work experience placement in a charity or NGO doing work related to their university major choice.
Our aspiring medical students have volunteered in hospitals across West Africa, spending time shadowing doctors and gaining invaluable work experience in the charity sector.
Our students have worked refurbishing schools in the countryside of Gambia and Senegal; they have worked on conservation projects in Cape Verde; helped to combat plastic pollution on the African West Coast, worked on water projects in Gambia, as well as undertaken internships at a range of charities and NGOs across several sectors.
